Like Paul, my hearts desire and prayer to God, is that all the deceived followers of infant baptism might be saved (Rom.10:1). A definition of the "dumbing down" cliché, is "to lower the intelligence". In the beginning, God made man in his image, but, man has continually dumbed God down by making and worshiping him in various images of rock, metal, etc., and SO, man makes GOD! When he does such, he elevates himself above God, and dumbs himself down, to think the clay is above the potter) In Isa. 45:9 "..Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? Or thy work, He hath no hands?" Vs. 12 says "I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded." Then in vs. 22 "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." When man quits dumbing down God, he moves to dumbing down God's word. God answered Job in 38:2 out of the whirlwind "Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?"
In Gen. 2:17, God said "But of the tree of knowledge and of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die." In Gen. 3:4, we find the serpent dumbing down the knowledge that God had given, which in vs. 6, we find both Adam and Eve yielding to Satan's "dumbed down" version. Nadab and Abihu, in Lev.10:1, dumbed themselves down and offered strange fire on their censers, that had not been commanded, and it cost them their lives. The Israelites: saw the ten plagues in Egypt; the Red Sea parted; Pharoah's army destroyed, and soon after, dumbed God down (and themselves) to make and worship a golden calf.
The dumbing down of Jesus and the apostles words is warned in Gal. 1:6-9; 1 John 4:1; 2 Tim. 4:1-4; Titus 1:9-14; 2 Cor. 11:13-15, and others (deemed by infant baptism and faith only preachers as just "filler"). Notice the fulfilled prophecy in 1 Tim. 4:1-3, in which, some would depart from the faith. It is not possible, to DEPART FROM THE FAITH, unless there is first, a dumbing down of the WORDS OF FAITH (Jude 3, contend for the faith). Now, for the dumbing down of Gods words. In Gen. 2:18, God said "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him." Around 1100 A.D., a large church passed a ruling forbidding priests
to marry, thereby, dumbing down God's very REASON to make woman. (It is not good for man to be alone). Had they required priests to become eunuchs, they might not have the ongoing sexual abuse problems, since 1100 AD? In forbidding the eating of meats, they dumbed down 1 Tim. 4:5-6.
Many churches still dumb down Jesus words in Matt. 23, where he forbids men to be called Rabbi, Master and Father, (Reverend also, in Psalm 111:9) as they refer to Christ and God (followers dumb themselves down by addressing men as such). Priests and preachers show dumbed down knowledge, when they wear clothing that elevates them above other members of the church, thereby showing their quest for attention (vs. 5-7). Their members do so, by submitting to such arrogance and contempt for what Christ said. Their teachings of infants too can believe and the literal eating and drinking of Christ's body and blood, dumbs down followers, by believing "darkened words of counsel without knowledge" (Job 38:2).
They dumb down Jesus words in Matt. 28:18 from "knowledge then baptize", into baptize without knowledge. Eph. 4:4-5 is dumbed down into "many bodies, many hopes, one Lord, many faiths and two baptisms. Acts 2:38 is dumbed into no belief; no repentance necessary before baptism, no need to confess Christ is the Son of God, prior to baptism (Rom. 10:8,9: and Acts 8:37). WORST OF ALL, by reversing the order, from baptism being last and putting it first, God's love for man, is dumbed down, so that there is no forgiveness of sins and no gift of the Holy Spirit (eternal life Acts:38-39, Rom. 6:23). It is the darkest counsel that can be given to man (besides faith only, which, also leaves you still under condemnation, not in Christ, Gal. 3:26-27, Rom. 8:1). The practice of infant baptism, looks unto men of 250 AD to be saved, instead of unto God (Isa. 45:22), and keeps people under bondage of sin and death (Heb. 2:14-15). God, in the past, winked at the dumbed down opinions of him: being made by men's hands; dwelling in temples made by men's hands; worshiping him with our hands and needing anything from man, but now, he commands men everywhere to obey the gospel (2 Thess. 1:8) It means, following the enlightened words of Jesus and the apostles (Isa. 45:22), instead of Satan's ministers of light (2 Cor. 11:13-15).
